Nominating

The Nominating Committee is accountable to the Board of Directors and coordinates primarily with the Board, Executive Committee and Committee Chairs.

Function of the Nominating Committee:
To develop a ballot of nominees (who possess interests, skills and strengths to  carry out the vision and mission of LHFH) to be members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, which is presented for nomination at each annual meeting.

Duties of the Nominating Committee:
Identify strengths and weaknesses within the current Board
Identify potential board members
Extend invitations to potential board members and answer initial questions
Develop a board orientation program for board nominees
Conduct a board orientation, answer questions about LHFH in general and the Board specifically
Identify potential nominees for Executive Committee (EC) positions
Review and update as needed, expectations for EC members
Contact potential EC nominees, extend invitations and answer initial questions
Develop a ballot for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee
Manage the balloting and election process during the Annual Board of Directors Meeting
