Loudoun ReStore Coming!!
Yes, Loudoun Habitat will be opening a ReStore very soon. For those who have been shopping at the Habitat ReStores in Winchester and Manassas this will be much closer, and support the building of affordable housing right here in Loudoun County.
For those who are unfamiliar with ReStores, they are a retail/warehouse accepting donated building materials and supplies and re-selling them to the public and contractors to raise money for building homes for those who really need them. Typically, homeowners, remodelers, stores like Home Depot and Lowe's and Sears, hotels, and housing developers donate wood, doors, windows, appliances, some furniture, fixtures, etc. to the ReStore for tax benefits. The ReStore then resells these products at a fraction of their real costs a huge savings for anyone needing them.

Info will be available here when we open our doors, and we will have a webpage just for the ReStore with directions and instructions. Until then, if you have usable good items to donate please call our office at 540.751.2244
What We Need!!
To get this great project off the ground, the ReStore committee NEEDS
- Temporary storage space for all the items that people are currently donating this is a critical need right now.
- A good flex warehouse location in eastern Loudoun county. We have been researching sites, but we are always open to suggestions.
- A 16-20 box truck to pickup materials
- A forklift, preferably electric, to move materials within our warehouse/retail space.
- Steel shelving like what Home Depot and Lowes use.
- Cash registers, computer, copier, fax, etc,
- Experienced staff to manage and run this operation full-time and part-time.
- Volunteers to work in the ReStore and help their community a few hours a week or as much as you can.
