Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Loudoun Habitat & there is a good opportunity for everyone! Using your strengths and abilities for the good of your community provides a sense of belonging, of contribution, and satisfies a desire to be a good neighbor. What's the best way to do this?
Step 1:
Acquaint yourself with Loudoun Habitat by reading about our work on this website.
Step 2:
Plan to attend the next volunteer orientation; typically these are held every 3-4 months at various locations in the county, most frequently at
libraries, and last a few minutes over an hour. You'll get a capsule glance of the opportunities that exist to further our mission of
providing affordable housing in Loudoun. The next orientation is scheduled for _____________ at ________________________________.
(If no date/time is noted, probably an orientation has recently been held; please proceed to Step 3.)
Step 3:
If you're unable to attend an orientation, please consider joining one of many working committees:
| Construction | Youth | Site Selection | Finance |
| Public Relations* | Special Events | Church Relations* | Development |
| Family Selection | Family Support* | Volunteer Relations* |
A description of each, as well as contact info on the chairperson, is available under the Home Page tab -->About Us,-->then Committees and Committee Updates. Email the chairperson and let them know of your interest in visiting at the next meeting. (Those designated with * have the greatest need for volunteers.)
Step 4:
If you can't seem to get plugged in or have specific questions, please email our Volunteer Relations chairman, Tony McGraw, at tonypammcgraw@cs.com.
Step 5:
By far the easiest: Enjoy your involvement as you work alongside others toward the goal of providing a hand-up to a Loudoun family!! You'll be glad you did.
