Annual Loudoun Habitat Homeowner Family Reunion - September, 2019

Current and future Loudoun Habitat homeowners gathered at our annual “Family Reunion” to share in food, fellowship and fun. This annual event is a great way for families to talk about their experience of home ownership and to get to know other families in our program.

The Robinson Home Repair is Complete - September, 2019

Loudoun Habitat for Humanity celebrated the completion of a very special home repair project for Albert and Curiva Robinson in Aldie, Virginia. Albert, a naval Vietnam War veteran, now requires the use of a wheelchair and Loudoun Habitat for Humanity partnered with HITT Contracting Inc. and many of their vendors and suppliers, to make the home handicap accessible. In addition to many of the contractors and volunteers who were on hand to celebrate, Anthony Barnes from Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton’s office presented Albert with a Vietnam War Commemoration lapel pin to give him the welcome home he earned.

Welcome Home Lulu Family, Welcome Home - September, 2019

“Freedom.” That was Simon Lulu’s answer when asked why he wanted to become a Loudoun Habitat homeowner. Simon and his family have lived in their second-floor apartment for 6 years and as their family has expanded and grown older, there children are eager for their own bedrooms and space to play. With this home, their dream for their children to have the freedom to be kids, to grow, to play, and learn is coming true.

Welcome Home Maulin Family, Welcome Home - August, 2019

“My main goal is to have a home for my children so they don’t have to worry.” Jessica, a single mom to 2 young daughters shared these thoughts at her recent home dedication. Thankful for the support she has received from friends and her church community, Jessica has learned many life skills and gained the strength to help her to be self-sustaining and provide a stable home for her daughters.
