LHFH's mission is to provide affordable housing, built with the help of volunteers and contributions, for Loudoun County families. Prospective volunteers will receive information about committees and upcoming projects. Those who are interested in working alongside LHFH are encouraged to visit and see what a great opportunity LHFH offers for helping our community. Come join us!

Volunteer Program

Want to Give Back to Your Community in 2010 ?
Are you interested in finding out how you can give back to your community this year? We have many different ways to give and appreciate each and every volunteer! We need help in many areas so that we can continue to put deserving families into houses. Whether you are looking for a one-time volunteer opportunity, or looking to get involved through a longer term commitment, we have meaningful opportunities for you.

Our volunteers often are looking to commit time and talent to fulfill school or religious commitments, spend meaningful time together as a family, or contribute back to the community in a meaningful way.

Get Started

Step 2: Match Your Interests to Our Work
  • On VolunteerUP, you will be able to select areas and skills that are of interest to you, as well as learn more about long term opportunities on our committees.
    Step 3: Attend Volunteer Orientation
  • Plan to attend the next volunteer orientation; typically these are held every 3-4 months at various locations in the county, most frequently at libraries, and they last for about an hour.  We provide a comprehensive view of our organization and you will have a chance to meet other volunteers and active Habitat members, glance at the opportunities that exist to further our mission of providing affordable housing in Loudoun.  Watch this site for the date of our Fall 2009 orientation.

Learn more about our committees

Each committee is chaired by an individual who would be happy to hear from you and can get you involved in Habitat in a way that fits your needs.
