Karen Peters, Critical Home Repair Manager

I’ve always been drawn to work where I can connect with people and make a real difference in their day-to-day lives.

My background has been a mix of healthcare, outreach, and project coordination, and what I’ve loved most in all of those roles is building relationships, helping people feel supported, and figuring out how to move things forward when there are a lot of moving pieces.

I’ve worked closely with patients, families, vendors, and teams across different settings, often being the person who helps bring everything together—whether that’s coordinating projects, solving problems, or making sure people feel heard and taken care of along the way.

What really matters to me is doing meaningful, grounded work. I’m especially drawn to supporting people during times when things feel uncertain or overwhelming, and helping create a sense of stability and trust.

The mission of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity really resonates with me. I value the idea that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to live, and I am honored to be part of work that directly supports individuals, families, and the community in such a tangible way.
