Loudoun Habitat for Humanity Raises Nearly $500,000 at 15th Anniversary Raise the Roof Gala

LEESBURG, VA - Loudoun Habitat for Humanity celebrated a major milestone with its 15th Annual Raise the Roof Gala, raising nearly $500,000 to support affordable housing initiatives across Loudoun County.  Held at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles on March 14, the event brought together more than 450 guests and a record number of sponsors, reflecting strong and growing community support for Habitat’s mission.

“This milestone year is a powerful reminder of what a community can accomplish when it comes together around a shared purpose,” said Judy Singer, President & CEO of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. “The generosity we saw that evening will translate directly into real opportunities for families across Loudoun County.”

Leading sponsors included Southland Industries and Wells Fargo, with additional support from Vesta Settlements, QTS, HITT Contracting, Microsoft, and many others.  In total, sponsors represented a broad range of industries, from data centers and technology to finance, construction, and the automotive sector - underscoring the depth of commitment to affordable housing across the region.

The evening featured a dynamic mix of experiences, including silent and live auctions with standout travel packages to Bordeaux, France and Telluride, Colorado, a wine pull and raffle, and interactive elements such as a 360-degree photo experience and themed photo booth.  Guests also explored exhibits highlighting Habitat’s work and future projects, including a preview of the upcoming Village at Clear Springs, which will bring 12 new affordable townhomes to Leesburg.

The event also honored the legacy of its founders, Lori Duvall and Julie Hoffman, whose vision 15 years ago established what has become one of Loudoun County’s most anticipated annual events.  Longtime emcee Tony Howard, President & CEO of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, returned for his 14th year leading the program.

Loudoun Habitat was also honored by the presence of several elected officials, including Chair Phyllis Randall, Vice Chair Mike Turner, Supervisor Juli Briskman, and Supervisor Sylvia Glass, underscoring the importance of affordable housing to the broader community.

Funds raised from the gala will support both new home construction and the organization’s Critical Home Repair program, which helps homeowners - particularly seniors and those on fixed incomes - remain safely in their homes.

As Loudoun Habitat looks ahead, the organization invites the community to stay engaged in its mission to build homes, communities, and hope.
